CARAMEL POPCORN =WINNNNNNNN! ^_^

I CAN BARELY CONTAIN MYSELF! I should get a bigger container then, hehehehe ok that was stale :/ lol
Ok, so all weekend I've been feeling peckish and wanted caramel popcorn, not like the one I made last time though, lol I wanted it even better! And well, I was supposed to make for someone's birthday(they really liked the last batch, lol) so I decided heck why not make it today! ^_^


So I spent like 45 minutes shelling peanuts and breaking them in half, ouch. I cyah be ah nuts 'oman on the highway inno, painnnnn! lol I got my apparatus ready beforehand, well most of it and I popped my corn :) IT POPPED BEAUTIFULLLYYYYYY! Like OMG! There was not a single corn to be popped still! (or maybe I just didnt see it) and it didn't burn! For awhile I was like, screw caramel popcorn I just wanna eat it like this ^_^ My dad took some, and then I popped another large pot :D Guess how that popped? STUPENDOUSLY! :D eeeeeeeeeep! Im too excited, haha
So during this, the pot was on the stove, but nothing in it, and I could'nt find the measuring cup so I just started estimating how much of everything and puttin it in the pot. I put sugar like three times, lol Some essence(the light one this time :D) and kept stirring. I put all my nuts(cashew and peanuts) in the two pans with the popcorn and got ready to put my baking soda and watch it rise! :D
Turned off the stove, put in the baking soda and it barely moved, so I was like burrrrr? So I put back on the fire, and put in more baking soda and stirred, it rose just a little bit, but not overfluff like lastime so I was concerned. But in my mind I was like wait nuh, baking soda have TOO MANY USES! To clean, disinfect, get rid of odours, bake and teng, wth! Maybe too much would give ppl chirren the runnings, so I didnt put any more, lolI poured half in one bowl and mixed, and MY WORD WAS IT GORGEOUS! It distributed wonderfully, and was light and looking even better than processed caramel corn x_x. I thought I had too little for the other bowl, but BAM! That spread niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee too. I didnt even use my baking dishes this time, I jsut plopped the two pans in the oven for a few minutes, it sealed the caramel over it, and WOW! It tastes great :) Screw plain popcorn,lol

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IM SO EXCITED! We we we so excitedddd *dances* ^_^
I just had to blog about this, my happiness was too much to contain, I had to tell the world! :) Thank God it came out so well :) Cant wait to dive down in some more later :D

My 30 Day Challenge (30) Fasting

Wow, I can't believe the challenge is over ;( It's been wonderful I must say :)
My last day! I fasted. It wasn't meant to be for the challenge however :/
I successfully finished a 4 Day Bible Reading Plan on the topic of Humility from http://www.youversion.com/ and I thought to myself, I'd fast to end it off. And maybe fast at the end of each one completed. I was sort of reluctant at first but went ahead. All I had were fluids, water, bush tea and a small box of juice (because keeping the sugar up a little bit is essential)
By 8:30 my belly was grumbling! But I sipped tea and it went for a couple minutes. Thankfully, nothing for breaktime or lunch came in Boxlunch(the school feeding program) so wanting to eat it wasn't a big issue for me! Twas an issue however, when everyone had such lovely meals I can eat from! All hot and delicious smelling! And then another class was giving out FREE DOUGHNUTS! FREE! x_x temptation was all around, but I resisted and went on to read over the verses I studied :) And after school i bought chow and carried it home to have later :) For the rest of the evening i was fine, just gassy, lol And was somewhat eager for 6pm to reach :) When it did and I returned home from music class, I prayed and ate!
I feel good actually. Just awhile ago my mom asked my to do something whilst I was trying to make toast to eat, and I said oh gwammmmm, but stopped because the thought "Submit yourselves to your elders" from 1Peter 5:5 came to mind. "God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble! " :) 
A good way to end off a challenge I believe, with the Lord! :) 
"My grace is sufficient for you, and my strength is made perfect in weakness" :)
So why worry heh? :)

My 30 Day Challenge (28-29) BAZAAR & FANCY JEWELLERY! ^_^

I'm blogging late againnnnnnnnn :/ I fell asleep before 8pm lastnight! I never sleep that early! lol I think I was too lazy to get up off my bed for anything else and so I just lay down and bep out! Oh well. Yesterday was my Bazaar!
Bazaar: 

A market in a Middle-Eastern country. A fund-raising sale of goods, typically for charity

Lol twas the second definition though. I've been in this school for 7 Years, and it was going to be my last official bazaar there, so I geared myself up and went to have a good time! ^_^ Usually I just jibb, went to the disco twice I think, or miss it because I had a scrabble tournament the same day x_x but this time, I went and I had a darn good time yo! So that was my new thing :) I played games, and more games, and more games, and hula hooped, and played with my friends' little brother, and played more games, and ate and ate and drank and drank, and played more games and helped a tiny bit with the haunted house ^_^ All in all I had a wicked time! ^_^ 
First game I played was called "Light a Candle" and basically all you did was light 8 candles with one match, before the match burns to smithereens or other's blow out. And I won! ^_^ Picked a number to get my prize and got some herbal essences shampoo! So I'm like heyyyyy Just gimme the conditioner if I win again, but they refused :( So I played again, won again, then picked again, and guess what? I PICKED THE CONDITIONER! ^_^ I spent between 60-80 dollars perhaps yesterday and came back home with

A can opener
A glass plate
Two big bowls (to make meh cake in xD)
A kitchen mitt 
A bunch of nails files in a set!
Small bottle of Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice
Colgate Toothpaste

Had two bags of pholourie, ice cream, 2 LLB's, more ice cream...wait that was all? :O lol Ah well ^_^
I HAD FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN ^_^


And so on to today's challenge! I dream some weird things, can't quite remember what but it involved cookie dough! :/ lol Anyways, earlier on, whilst searching for Lord alone knows what, I found where my broken jewellery pieces were :D And so I repaired em! Got myself a chain and a matching bracelet to boot! ^_^

My 30 Day Challenge (27) Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious!

I DRANK FROM MY MARY POPPINS CUP TODAY! ^_^

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! ^_^ So glad I finally used it! Figured it was time ^_^ and I had El Pecos too! Haven't eaten that in months! So I figured twas a good combo! I got Bbq chicken, jerk chicken, bbq lamb, fried plantain, macaroni salad and green salad, topped with plenty garlic sauce! (The actual garlic chopped up, not that white thing they blend up!) Bbq sauce, mustard, garlic sauce(the white one, lol) and Shadow beni sauce! yummmmmmmmmmmmmeeeehhhhhhhhhhhh!!! ^_^

Anddddddddddd Bob's your uncle!

My 30 Day Challenge (26) Reggaeton,Meditation

I can't believe there are only 3 more days left! :O 

I'm updating a day late, because well yesterday was just hectic! But totally worth it! :) I went in my bed roughly past 3am o.O Because I prefer doing work when the place is quiet and it's dark? lol And I decided for my challenge yesterday, I'd listen to Reggaeton all day! (I'm sure Salma would love this ;) And well I listened to it from midnight to bedtime, searching different artists on youtube and stuff. They're pretty marchoso! ^_^ (gettin ah lil spanish mix there ^_^) I found this site and was looking them(most of em) up!

However, this challenge got cut short, when I woke up past 10 the following morning, and realised I still had to wash my hair, and comb it for my graduation later x_x So quickly I went! But it was so much trouble! A bunch of my plaits loose out when it's wet :( 

Then to top it off, I had to go in school to drop something for my friend because (not calling any names here) but Salma, lol lost my key! >.< lol grrrr!

And I still had to pack my bags, get all my stuff together, wash the clothes I'd be dancing in, do my  mom's hair etc. But things worked out, and my brother dropped me so I was happy :) 

Nehuzz, The Tallman Foundations' Graduation was AWESOME! I had to perform the "Tallman Song" and a dance! I don't have much pictures, (sprung these off the group page actually lol)

Twas loads of fun :) I got certificates in Drama, Dance, Photography and Development thingy, lol ^_^

But when I came home, there was no electricity! And I didn't mind. Coming home was so peaceful, dark but so purdy! I liked it! And I got a chance to light a candle I got for Christmas last year or year before. Twas cool. And so I decided to stop and think and reflect about life and the future and read some Bible scripture by candlelight :) This really stood out to me

   ¹³ Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” ¹⁴ Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. ¹⁵ Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” ¹⁶ As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. ¹⁷ If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

So many times we make plans of our owns, without considering what is God's plan for us? And so if they fail we're disappointed. Had we just trusted in the Lord to guide our footsteps and shape our lives, we wouldn't be faced with such disappointment, but instead we boast about plans, about ourselves, our accomplishments, putting God aside and then picking Him back up when your plans don't go as you hoped?  

 Read a couple more different ones, like the parables Jesus told. One being about having talents and producing more, whilst the other man hid it and did nothing with it. And another parable about the Word being on good ground, where people listen to it and internailize it letting it guide them, whereas others just hear it and for the moment are delighted then forget it and go about their lives. Then I started Ecclesiastes and after awhile, relaxed, then fell asleep. I got up shortly after however, and current came back, but I liked the quiet and not being all up under electronic devices, and so I went back to bed :) And I took pictures too!

My 30 Day Challenge (25) Hablando en Espanol! Handstands!

So my friend Salma recommended I speak in Spanish for at least half of the day! AWESOME! That was DEFINITELY a challenge! So my first convesation was trying to explain Dimples x_x and the most used phrase was "un momento" for each time I had to go in the giant bricklike dictionary we're required to bring to classes. lol But after awhile I got the hang of it, sorta!
One teacher didn't come to class so that was a bummer! I didn't get to answer questions in Spanish :( So for the free period I watched music videos(how shameful :( :/ ) And talked in spanish, several times just staying quiet because I can't formulate the sentence I'd like! lol Twas lots of fun tho! ^_^
But by the end of lunch it was back to English. It was hard to dance with my friend, researching songs to do learnt choreography to and talk to other people at the same time! :( I fail hard. 
So it only lasted about 2 hours, jejeje. 
But as compensation for that, I decided to do something I haven't done in years! A handstand!
Form 1 days I was doing it like it was watching television! Going into crab-backs with it, dancing, switching legs, doing aerobics with my feet in the air and I was freaking high on it! ^_^ But now I'm afraid, lol So I decided to face my fear and just do it!
And I did during dance rehearsal! ^_^ And then I just wanted to keep doing it over and over! I was really bummy at first but once I was up the first time, that was it! twas all I wanted to do ^_^ 

So this was mid- fancy hand movement dance step thingy, lol

So Today I learn some more stuff, lol

1. Adam Levine is FRICKING SEXY! (Rediscovered this one, lol) 

2. Maroon 5's videos make violent abusive relationships seem sexy and fairytale like o.O Daz jus me!

3. My Spanish REAL POOR! lol Strangely enough however, when I go to Spanish class I feel like I'm going mad, although I speak plenty, my hair goes crazy I rock from side to side and do weird things, lol But I speak alot of Spanish then, using words I didnt even know I knew, lol

4. I suck at doing cartwheels...still, lol

5. I look like a douen with my hair out and flattened(ish) on all sides. Either that, or like a Chinese boy with a straight across haircut,lol 

5. Fue algo mas! Lo olvido! :( no! espera! Recuerdo! I learnt new words in Spanish!

My 30 Day Challenge (24) Speaking Like the Brit'ish, Doorbells and Bicycles ^_^

So today I decided to speak like I'm British all day! i was uber excited about it, especially for my first class which was Spanish, to talk to the teacher like that :D But she never came :( Instead Enfrente con trabajo! There was questions to be done IN SPANISH! a bunch of em, and an essay to write IN SPANISH! *Bummy vybez* lol I did what I could and started my challenge at lunch time! It was quite fun, my other friend Nadia joined in here and there, but often switched to Trini, cuz it kinda hard to truly express how yuh feel speaking like a Brit. It's also hard to laugh like one, and sing like one :/ It was going pretty awesome! But one of my teachers, much like many of them, laughed when I started to answer "What is wave pounding, and hydraulic pressure" in that accent. She even insulted it! How rude! Mind you me, I'm writing the majority of this post in a British accent even, lol Bloody hell! I stopped after awhile and decided I can do something else as well, but not sure what yet. Until ah bounce up meh neighbor wen ah was going home nah, and we walk up together and teng, lol We spoke in the British accents together(she actually recommended the challenge) and we revisited some childhood memories going to an old shop, and buying candy in a straw with a gold plastic ring on top! ^_^ 
Then on our way home, we see a doorbell outside someone's home and decide to press it, like good ole days, haha. She said "I not gonna run tho" But when we pressed it, we real speed walk from the house, haha ^_^ Twas fun! Then all my Soldanza plantain chips fell! :( Karma came quickly, lol
So later on, waiting for the transportation to go to dance class I did something new AGAIN! I rode a bicylce for the first time in many many years I suppose. I fell at the bottom of a hill when I was younger and stopped :/ But today i actually rode it, (after several failed attempts to pedal) ^_^ Twas well wicked! ^_^

Blurry yes, but I ACTUALLY RODE IT AND DIDNT BUSS MEH NEHNEN! ^_^

That's the sugar melting and then rising when I put in the baking soda and getting all fluffy! ^_^ 

And this is the end result, after putting it to bake for some time! Looks really dark but that's because I put a bit of vanilla essence in it, the dark one, so yarrr. Tasted good though...clearly,  seeing that I had both of these containers filled to the brim last-night and this is where it is at the end of one day. Someone even wanted said they'd pass for more when It's their birthday soon! lol I personally thought I couldve done much better with it! Less sugar and stuff, but for a first attempt I guess it was alright :) I really LOVE how the almonds taste in it! *drools* 

And well this is just me this evening, feeling "ah how" probably hungry, and in a fit, put Sharane's lunchkit over my head x_x 

So I learned a few things today! ^_^

1. Rel people don't know that there are DIFFERENT English accents based on which part of the UK you live -_- And spending 10 days personally around a couple of them, I don't think my accent was terrible! Bleddy Wankers! >.<

2. I miss GYLC! (Ok this was known already, lol)

3. When speaking like a Brit, your language becomes so proper and sentences are well formulated. Like dangggg homie, lol I love it! So dainty ^_^

4. People like caramel popcorn, lol 

5. Push, push push, and then pedal the bike x_x

My 30 Day Challenge (23) Caramel Popcorn! ^_^ (With roasted almonds)

I AM INCREDIBLY PERTURBED!
I decided tonight to make Caramel Popcorn! Hooray!A challenge I can eat and share :)
SO I get all my stuff ready, wash my pots grease my pans etc.put on the popcorn and IT NEVER POPPED! Now first off, I never see this brand ah popcorn before, Idk why my dad buy this brand! "Preferred Brand" THIS AIN'T NO PREFERRED BRAND! It didn't pop!
Now I know some people might say, well you just cant pop popcorn -_- No, I have been popping corn same time I have been travelling, 9 YEARS OLD! And it always popped, maybe not once, because it was too much oil, but this is just ridiculous I tell ya! 
So after about 3 minutes I tell myself alright maybe the temperature too high, so I low it down, AH HA! ONE POP! I get lil hopeful! 
More minutes passed, and no more popped -_- 
So I started over again, and changed to the electric stove, figured heck that's probably why. I've never used the gas stove before with it, so let me stick with the electric.  IT STILL DIDN'T POP! Both times, it just looked like it was starting to burn, and all the seeds got partially black spots on them, so Im like maybe it have weevil?Maybe it expire, neither, it just stubborn! lol  It's only when I came in the room and started writing this rant of mine, it started to pop . And it took so long to pop I thought the already popped corn was burning, because it smelt like it. 
BIG WET STEUPS MAN! lol Put me back an entire hour and I have a Spanish essay due tomorrow and a history essay due last week Friday to do x_x *sigh* But I made the popcorn nonetheless, and forgot the butter, and salt, put those in last minute, lol
And now It's in the oven just caramelizing more or summ, idk It doing it do in the oven! 
Id have pictures up tomorrow please God, because right now I really need to get into my work lol
So till then, when I come back with my (hopefully) successful sweet treat of a chlallenge, byeezzzziezzz! :)
